William Sigourney came to Camden in 1838. Wiliam's mother arrived with other family soon after he settled in Camden.
In 1841 obtained a deed for the north part of the Watkins farm.
He moved from the Watkins farmstead to the John F. Davidson farm.
From the Davidson farmstead to the Adam Geist farm, where he died on April 26, 1882 at the age of 67.
Melissa, one of his wives, died May 6, 1860 at the age of 36.
He married, 2nd a lady from LaGrange, but soon parted.
His third wife was Sarah Bates, daughter of Henry B. Bates, of Camden. She was the widow of Uriah LaDow.
