Mary "POLLY" Bennett was born on January 29, 1800, in New York. She married Adam Linton on June 13, 1819, in New York. They had nine children in 25 years. She died on March 7, 1878, in Camden, Ohio, having lived a long life of 78 years. Her nine known children were:

Adam and [Mary] Polly Bennett moved to their homestead in Lorain County, OH, in the late 1840's from Seneca Co, OH (See BLM record for Seneca property bought in early 1830's when they moved from Geneseo, Livingston Co, NY). Adam and Mary's daughter, Laura Linton, lived in the house after Mary's and Adam's deaths.
