OBITUARY
Samuel J. Ensley. Jr. was born November 10, 1863 in Shelby County, Missouri. He departed this life January 13, 1942 at the age of 78 years, 3 months and 3 days. When he was seven years old he, with his parents, moved to Butler County, Kansas, where he grew to manhood. He was united in marriage on February 11, 1890 to Anna Bell Wilson who precedes him in death. To this union were born seven children. He moved with his family to Oklahoma, Indian Territory, in 1889 and has been a resident of Oklahoma County since 1906. He became a member of the First Baptist Church in 1910. He leaves to mourn his death 6 children, 2 sons, Walter and Clifford of Jones; 4 daughters, Edna, of Oklahoma City, Mrs. Ed Navarre and Mrs. Henry Russell of Harrah; and Mrs. Raymond Harrell of Luther; one brother, Wilson Ensley of Atlanta, Kansas; 3 sisters, Mrs. Dollie Hagga, Atlanta, Kansas, Mrs. Nan Suntag, Atlanta, Kansas, and Mrs. Ida Harrington, Douglas, Kansas; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Geo. McCoy in the Jones Assembly of God Church January 15, 1942, at 2:00 P. M. Burial in the IOOF Cemetery of Jones, Oklahoma.
