MILLER
James Clair Miller, son of Cyrus and Mary Miller, was born Jan. 6, 1888, and passed from this life Feb. 6, 1962, at the age of 74 years and one month. He spent almost his entire life in English township.
He was united in marriage to Vesta Brenaman on Oct. 20, 1909. To this union were born the following children: Mahlon H., of Anaheim, Calif., Paul J., of Lacona, James C., of Osakis, Minn., Wilma H. Gott, of Melcher, and Esther Belle Steinbach, of Chariton.
Those who knew him best in the circle of friends and members of the Church of the Nazarene, will remember him as one who in these later years reached forth for the deep truths of God and saw a close one grow in spiritual strength and wisdom to the end.
He is survived by his wife and five children, two brothers, William A. and Jerry of Chariton, three sisters, Elizabeth Mason of Russell, Cynthia Abrahamson and Easter Brenaman of Chariton; 19 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
The Beardsley-Fielding Funernal Home was in charge of services held Feb. 9, at the Church of the Nazarene. The Rev. Homer Max officiated, and interment was in the Oxford cemetery.
