Heimbigner: ( b. Sep 23, 1892, d. Mar 12, 1980) "Funeral services were held March 15, 1980, for Lydia Heimbigner, 87, who passed away March 12, 1980, at the Ritzville Hospital. A lifelong resident of Adams County, Lydia Heimbigner, daughter of Adam and Magdalene Weber, was born Sept 23, 1892, some 14 miles northwest of Ritzville where her parents homesteaded. She received her education in a one room country school. On Dec 9, 1913 she was married to Jacob Heimbigner, who preceded her in death in 1962, as did a daughter, Selma Telecky, in 1977. Mrs. Heimbigner is survived by 5 sons: Eldon, Ephrata; Walter and Ivan, Ritzville; Martin, Spokane; and Richard, Renton; 2 daughters, Jane, Mrs. Winston Davis, of Spokane; and Elma, Mrs. Cliff Ahern; 2 sisters and a step-sister: Lena Reiman, Dryden; Edith Farris, Everett; and Elsie Hopp, Anchorage, Alaska; 4 brothers: John Weber, Ritzville; David Weber, Odessa; George Weber, Seattle; and Sam Weber, Green Valley, Arizona; 21 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Services were held at the Danekas Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ernest Sprenger officiating. Sacred selections sung by Milton Sackmann were ‘How Great Thou Art' and ‘Beyond the Sunset'. Organist was Mrs. Evelyn Heider. Casket bearers were Steve Heimbigner, Randy Heimbigner, Dennis Heimbigner, Martin Heimbigner, Eric Davis, Brent Davis and Larry Aherns. Interment was in the Ritzville Cemetery." (Odessa Record: 3-20-1980)
