Reginald J Barber ,age 76, of Childress ,Texas ,died Saturday ,February 23,2008 ,in Wellington ,Texas. Reginald James Barber was born on April 27,1931 in Stockton ,NY, son of late William H. and Hazel R ( Fitch) Barber. He loved his family. Reginald drove from Childress to Amarillo for 3 years for the US Postal Service. He was a farmer and enjoyed fishing. He had lived in the Wellington Nursing Home for approximately 10 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Laura Jane Podlogar,, two sisters ;June E Barber , Irene May Esler and brother Fay Otis Barber.
He is also survived by his daughter Leshia Kay Barber of Hollis, Okla; one sister Jean Pagano of Bearfoot Baye, Fla; two brothers Daniel R Barber of Childress, Texas and William D. Barber and his wife Eleanor of Forestville, NY; two grandchildren Patricia Ann Lucero and Phillip Lee Barber.
Arrangements are being handled by Johnson Funeral Home ,307 Ave. CNW , Childress, Texas. Funeral service will be graveside at Childress Cemetery at 2:00 PM, Thursday ,February 28,2008. Rev. Alan Lee Egerton officiating. Interment will be at Childress Cemetery.
