Carolyn Glover Kincaid, 87, of Butner passed away Monday, June 13, 2022 at her home.
Carolyn was born in Durham County on March 16, 1935 to the late James Robert Glover and Juliana Brooks Rogers. She graduated from Watts School of Nursing. She was the director of staff development at Murdoch Developmental Center where she retired after many years of service. After her retirement she worked as a clinical instructor at Vance Granville Community College for several years. Carolyn was active in her church and was the choir director at Community United Methodist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Community United Methodist Church officiated by Reverend Norma Roberts. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens in Creedmoor.
She is survived by a daughter, Lynn Kincaid; a son, Mike Kincaid; two granddaughters, Ashley Morgan Kincaid (Robert Dugan) and Zoe Auburn Hodgin; a brother, Jimmy Glover (Juliana); two nieces, Jessica Brown (Jeff) and Jennifer Johnson (Steve); a special friend, Pat Davis and her great-grand puppy "Riley". She was preceded in death by her husband Larry Kincaid.
Visitation will be held Saturday, June 18, 2022 from 1:00 – 1:45 PM at Community United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the music ministry at Community United Methodist Church, 507 West E St., Butner, NC 27509.
