From "Pioneer History of Camden Township"

Hiram Prentice born Sept. 15, 1824, studied medicine for a time, but gave it up and returned to the home farm, where he lived until his death in 1903. He married Laura A. Webster of Ashtabula March 17, 1853. She was born October 31, 1831 and died in 1910. Eugene S., living on the farm is their only child.
