Rennit Mae Street

Rennit Mae Plaisance Street, 77, of Urania, passed from this life on Tuesday, November 6, 2012, at Hardtner Medical Center in Urania. She was born July 22, 1935 in Raceland to the union of her parents, Pierre Jack and Melodis Duferene Plaisance.

Mrs. Street was a homemaker who loved God, her children and grandchildren.


Services were held at 10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 9, from the sanctuary of Urania Pentecostal Church with Rev. Clay Hutto officiating, and Martha Street, Amanda Firmature, DeWanna Young and Cindy Richie delivering the eulogy.


Interment followed in the Urania Cemetery under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Olla.


She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Allie M. Street, II; son, Mark John Street; and three brothers, Chester Plaisance, Norris Plaisance and Ernest Plaisance.


Survivors include six sons, Garland Street and companion Barbara Bucher, Clinton Street, Michael Street, Marshall Street, Allie M. Street, III, and Keith Street and wife Penny Miller; daughter, Linda Thornhill and husband Allen; three brothers, Dou Plaisance and wife Velma, Lester Plaisance and wife Joyce, and Edison Plaisance and wife Irma; two sisters, Gladys Bourg and Mildred Thibodaux; 21 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.


Pallbearers were her grandsons, Allen Street, Marcus Thornhill, Phillip Street, Clinton Street, Jr., Derrick Street and Johnathan Street.


Honorary pallbearers were Cory Bucher, Jared Bucher, Adam Bucher, Brad Street and Christopher Street.
