Cyntha was the daughter of Willis Albert Pond and Martha Ann (Williams) Pond.

Cyntha married John Alexander Anderson on September 8, 1870 in Malvern, Hot Spring County, Arkansas. A copy of their marriage license and the original marriage certificate is in their Family History Book. Together they had seven children.

1--James "Jim" Albert [1871-1932]
2--Alice Alzera Alvarado [1873-1953]
3--Robert "Bob" Lee Andrew [1876-1938]
4--Emmaline "Emma" Martha [1878-1971]
5--Dora Allena [1880-1938]
6--Louella "Lou" Elizabeth [1883-1960]
7--Edna Alexandria [1887-1980]

Cyntha was a faithful member of the Primitive Baptist.

I have always spelled her name as Cynthia, but in her large Family Bible that I have, her name is spelled Cyntha. It is also spelled on her headstone the same way.

John left Cyntha and the children to go to Arkansas and see his family. He never returned. He ended up in Indian Territory (now Oklahoma). He died in June 1897. Two years after John died, Cyntha remarried.

Cyntha married A.J. Thompson on October 25, 1899 in Comanche County, Texas. While in Comanche County in 1994, Fain McDaniel, my granddaughter Melissa and I spent a couple of days at the Court Clerks Office and the library. I found the original marriage license of Cyntha and A.J. The Court Clerk gave the license to me which they are in the Family History Books.

The picture of Cyntha was in my grandmothers box of pictures. I took the picture of her headstone. When we were at the cemetery, there was not a sign showing the name of the cemetery. Hopefully, someone has added one by now.
