Mr. Buckelew died Friday, Jan. 13, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born April 6, 1926, in Cullman to William Jake and Lily Nina Eddleman Buckelew. He was a retired truck driver who worked for D.E. Thomas Trucking. He was a member of Welcome Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Velva-Lee Buckelew; a daughter, Karen (Phil) Knight; three sons, Michael (Suzanne) Buckelew, Craig (Sharman) Buckelew and Krel (Kathy) Buckelew; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
