Elaine Anderson Card, loving mother and grandmother, passed away October 5, 1990 at her home after a courageous battle with leukemia.

Born January 28, 1927 to Joseph and Norma Petersen Anderson. Married William C. Card on February 13, 1956 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Graduated from the University of Utah in Art Education and was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. She was 17-year member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

A talented artist, she expressed her abilities through many mediums. She had her own creative design business. Active member of the LDS Church and held various positions in Primary, Sunday School and Relief Society and the music department. She was a totally devoted wife and mother and lived her whole life for her family.

She is survived by her husband, William; children and their spouses, Ann and Russ Watts, Lane and Marianne Card; Michael and Liesa Card; and Sheri Card; 13 grandchildren; all of Salt Lake City; brother and sister and their spouses, Robert and Jean Anderson, Salt Lake City; Betty and Mike Lloyd of San Carlos, California; many other relatives including a cousin, Marie Zobell of Salt Lake City; and her 100-year-old father, Joseph Anderson.

Funeral services on Tuesday, October 9th, at 12 noon, Mt. Olympus 4th Ward, 4176 South Adonis Drive (3725 East). Friends may call at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, on Monday evening 6-8 pm, and at the Ward on Tuesday, the hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
