Funeral services fro Lt. Felix Alderton, 25, of Laona, who wa killed in June 27 when his jet airplane crashed at Shaw Air Force Base, Savannah, Georgia, were conducted in St. Leonard's Catholic Church in Laona Tuesday.
Military rites were held by Cook-Elfors VFW post in Laona, and Lt. Bernard S. Russell, who accompanied the body from Savannah, assisted.
Pallbearers were Thomas Cox, Rueben Sturzl, Richard Alderton, Harold Sonnentag, Gunnar Hanson and Arthur Karl.
Lt. Alderton was born May 14, 1930, in Laona. He was married in March, 1953, to Carolyn King, of Crandon. After serving four years in the Air Force, Lt Alderton re-enlisted.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Peggy Ann; his parents; two sisters; a brother, Fred of Laona, and his Grandfather, John Russell, of Laona and Crandon.
