Lansing Waugh is the son of Daniel Waugh and Anne Smedley, killed in 1812 by Indians in Lewiston, Niagara, NY.
The homestead was abandoned. Eventually the children were removed to Camden by their uncle, Norman Waugh, and taken in by relatives.
