HIGHSPIRE - Unexpectedly in his 25th year, Christopher B. Moyer "Chris" was swept away from his family and friends on Sunday, August 9, 2009, in the Holy Spirit Hospital.
When you first met Chris, you saw his beautiful smile. He was social and outgoing with everyone he met. Those who came to know him easily came to love him. He was everyone's best friend and he made time to get to know everyone around him. He represented the true personification of what life is and what it's supposed to be.
Chris was in the construction trade as an Insulation Technician formerly for American Insulation Company, and a former member of the Middletown Hunters and Anglers, and was baptized into the Lutheran Faith.
His true love of life was being outdoors. Chris was an accomplished skateboarder, hunter, fisherman, and camper. He spent many hours reading and was a practicing cartoonist.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Henry and Janet Moyer, and his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Shirley Feldman. Chris will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. He bids farewell to his family leaving behind his parents; his loving father, Bruce A. Moyer and his beloved mother, Lisa A. Moyer of Highspire; his older brother, Ryan J. Moyer and his wife, Amanda Moyer and Chris's unborn nephew of Harrisburg; his younger sister, Erica A. Moyer at home; his puppies, Blanca, Dusty, and Gizmo, and his cats, Nueton and Cleo.
Funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in St. Peters Lutheran Church, Spring and Union Streets, Middletown, with Pastor Elaine M. Dent officiating. Chris's final resting place will be in the Highspire Cemetery.
The family will receive relatives and friends for a viewing on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until time of services in the church.
