Roy McKibbin Former Beaverton Man Dies
Funeral services were held Sunday at the Dale Methodist church for Roy B. McKibbin, conducted by Rev. B.F. Wade. Burial was at the Dale cemetery. Born April 24, 1878, in Lyons, Ohio, he died October 22, 1936, at his home at 1309 Third street, Bay City. He is a former resident of Beaverton and Tobacco townships. He was a veteran of the Spanish American war and served as state representative from the Gladwin-Roscommon district. He also built Idle wild resort at Prudenville.
He is survived by his wife, Beatrice McKibbin, a son, Lieut. Hugh McKibbin, of the air corps at San Diego Calif., one daughter, Juanita McKibbin, of Bad Axe, and brother Owen McKibbin, of Beaverton.
