Julie (Harmon) Zanker

Julie (Harmon) Zanker, 45, died Friday, May 16, 2003, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Lafayette. She was a resident of Lafayette.

She was born April 18, 1958, in Greenwood. Her father was Ray Harmon. Her mother is Norma Harmon of Greenwood. She married John C. Zanker on April 4, 1987, in Greenwood. He survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Samantha Zanker of Lafayette; twin sons, Jonathon and Jeffrey Zanker, both of Lafayette; two sisters, Nancy Bunch of Bargersville and Susie Johnson of Greenwood; two brothers, Tom Harmon of Greenwood and Steve Harmon of Franklin; a half sister, Donna Stillabower of Nineveh; and a half brother, Richard Harmon of Collegeville, Pa.

She was employed at AgriSource as an office manager.

She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and was a former youth leader at Stidham United Methodist Church. She served on the Mayflower Elementary School PAC committee and the 4-H queen contest committee. She was a volunteer for several Lafayette area organizations.

She enjoyed gardening, decorating and crafts.

The Rev. Craig LaSuer will conduct a service at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Christ United Methodist Church in Lafayette. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the church. Burial will be at Meadow View Cemetery in Lafayette. Soller Baker Funeral Home in Lafayette is handling arrangements.
