She was born March 28, 1955, in Lafayette to the late George H. Ellis, DVM, and Catherine A. Callaway Ellis. Surviving are three siblings, George H. Ellis Jr. (wife: Debra) of Rensselaer, Mary C. Ellis (fiancé: Bill Hubertz) of Lafayette and E. David Ellis (wife: Renata) of Fishers; nephews, Nathan Smith, Andrew Potts and Evan Ellis, all of Lafayette, Craig Lewis (wife: Stacy) of Fontana, California and Jason Lewis of Rensselaer and nieces, Tracy Lewis and Jamie Hesson (husband: Kyle), both of Rensselaer.
She was a special needs teacher for 31 years.
