Voyan Kelley OSKALOOSA — Voyan Scott Stringfellow Kelley, 89, of Oskaloosa died July 7, 2000, at Oakwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Albia. She was born Nov. 13, 1910, in Illinois to Robert and Lucy (Stainbrook) Scott. She married Paul Stringfellow on Feb. 2, 1929; he died Aug. 2, 1971. She married Paul Kelley on June 3, 1974; he died May 13, 1986. She graduated from New Sharon High School in 1928 and taught school at Pleasant Ridge #5, from 1955 to 1959. She attended William Penn College in 1954 to 1959. She was a member of Oskaloosa Business Women’s Association and operated the Ambassador Rest Home in Oskaloosa for 14': years. She is survived by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Gaylord and Delmer Scott; and a sister, Mary Sanders. The service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Home in Oskaloosa, the Revs. Max Johnson and Harold Schutte of the Assembly of God Church officiating. Burial will be in Wymore Cemetery in Monroe Township. Mahaska County. Visitation is open at the funeral home with family present from 7 to 8 p.m. today Pallbearers will be Vincent Sanders, Kenneth Harding, Ronald Stainbrook, Gene Fisher, Robert Fisher and Jeff Van Der Veer. Memorials may be made to First Assembly of God Church in Oskaloosa

She had one sister Mary Elizabeth SCOTT b: Mar 4, 1907 in Illinois.
She had two brothers:
Hiram Gaylord SCOTT b: May 16, 1909 - d: Oct 3, 1942 in Illinois.
Delmar Cecil SCOTT b: Nov 6, 1917 in Iowa

Her family left Illinois for Iowa in 1917. She spent many years of her adult life in Iowa, Mahaska Co, Town of Oskaloosa. She was married to Paul Orin STRINGFELLOW and later to Paul KELLEY.

She has a passion for genealogy and the family benefit greatly from her contribution to our family tree. She would certainly have enjoyed the advances that the Internet has allowed.
