Stanley K. Martin

Stanley K. Martin, aged 73, of Milford, died Thursday, November 11, at his home following a long illness.

Mr. Martin was born September 24, 1892, at Milford, the son of Edwin and Sarah Belle (Armstrong) Martin. he married Frances Saxton on May 12, 1918, in Milford. He was a sawyer for the Armstrong Lumber Mill for over 25 years.

He was a member of the Milford Methodist Church and a former member of the Macabees.

Surviving are his wife; one son, Stanley J. of Milford and a foster-son, Staff Sgt. David VanValkenburg, Suitland, Md.; three daughter, Mrs. Forest Cooper of Waterville and Mrs. Howard Jewell and Mrs. Ward Green, both of Westville; 13 grandchildren, and a brother, Charles Martin of Milford, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 14, from the Tillapaugh Funeral Home in Milford, with the Rev. Phillip Pitcher, pastor of the Milford Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in Westville Cemetery.
