Mrs. Willard, widow of the late Mr. William Willard, died at her home at Ward Prairie near Fairfield, Sunday, November 27th, 1898. The deceased came to this county with her husband and family from Tennessee about 25 years ago. She was one of the oldest ladies in the county, being about 75 years old. She leaves to mourn her loss, many children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. After a long life the good old mother has fallen asleep and on last Monday evening, the 28th inst. she was laid to rest by the side of her husband in the Ward Prairie cemetery, Rev. E. J. Brown officiating."
