CAMERON — Dee Edward Morgan Jr., 73, of Temple died Tuesday, Aug. 11, in a Harker Heights nursing center.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Rogers Cemetery with Rev. Billy Ray Crow officiating.

Mr. Morgan, a retired truck driver, was born in Bell County to Dee Edward and Florence Pearl Taylor Morgan. He married Vera Faye Forbes on Oct. 6, 1956.

A son, Michael Dewayne Morgan, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of Temple; a son, Robert Morgan of Temple; five daughters, Doris Carroll and Sonya Kirk, both of Temple, Danita Marek of Granger, Denise Murry of Sr. Joseph, Mo., Lisa Morgan of Austin; seven brothers, James Morgan, J.P. Morgan, Lloyd Morgan and Freddy Morgan, all of Rogers, Kenneth Morgan of Heidenheimer, Maxie Morgan of Cameron, David Morgan of Temple; two sisters, Mary Ann Morgan of Rogers, Darlene Sanderson of Temple; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron.
