WOODSBORO- Paul Herbert Main, 61, of 10514 Dorces Road, near Woodsboro, died Saturday, Dec. 2, 1989, at his home after an illness of a year.

Born March 2, 1928, in Frederick County, he was a son of the late Charles Herbert and Ruth Helen Williams Main. He was the husband of Mildred Louise Hartsock Main.

Surviving also is one daughter, Monica S. Main of Gettysburg, Pa.; one son, Mark L. Main of Wardensville, W. Va.; three grandchildren; and two brothers, C. Bennett Williams of Ellicott City and Michael Main of Frederick.

Mr. Main was a member of the Rocky Hill Lutheran Church, a charter member of the Woodsboro Bowman Club, and a member of the Woodsboro American Legion Glenn W. Eyler Post No 282.

He served two years in the U.S. Air Force and had been employed as a mason for the Milton Smith Tile Co., retiring in 1988.

The funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Woodsboro Funeral Home of D. D. Hartzler with his pastor, Rev. Parris C. Beckhardt, officiating. Burial will be in Rocky Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. this evening at the funeral home.
