The funeral will be held at 11 a. m. today from the Goods Mill Dunkard Church. The interment will be in the graveyard adjoining the church.
About two years ago Mr. Long's health was greatly impaired by a stroke of paralysis, from which he never fully recovered. A second stroke a few weeks ago rendered him practically helpless, and on last Saturday night he suffered a third stroke, from which he never rallied.
Mr. Long, who was a son of the late Isaac Long, for many years one of the most widely known and influential ministers of the German Baptist Church, was born on Mill Creek and spent his entire life in that community, where he commanded the confidence and respect of all.
He was twice married, his first wife being Miss Whitmore, of this county. His second wife, who survives him, was a Miss Miller, of Mo.
He leaves two children born of the first marriage, Charles E. Long, of Penn Laird, and Mrs. Dr. Harshbarger, of Goods Mill, and three children, Ernest, Frank, and Adjeter, of the second. He is survived by three brothers, Daniel Long, of Bridgewater, Benjamin Long, of Port Republic, and William Long, of Goods Mill, and two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Good, of Good Mill, and Mrs. Mary Harshberger, of Illinois.
