Obituary.

The funeral of the late Beatrice Hollis was held at the First Presbyterian church of this city last Sunday afternoon at one o'clock, Rev. Dr. Lambert officiating. The active pall bearers were: Joseph Oliver, Walter Nelson, Hubert Saindon, Glen Goodwin, Ralph McCall and Floyd McCall. The floral offerings were many and beautiful. After the services at the church the body was laid to rest in Pleasant Hill cemetery beside her sister, Vera who died in this city in 1908. Miss Beatrice Hollis was born March 14, 1897 near Clyde, Kans., and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D.P. Hollis. In 1911 the family moved to Victor, Kansas where the deceased spent most of her life. She received part of her education in the Concordia schools making her home with Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Curran while here. After leaving Concordia she returned to her family at Victor, Kansas where she lived until September 1920 when she with her twin brother went to Denver, Colo., to spend the winter with their sister, Mrs. Verna Dotson. The latter part of December 1920 she was taken ill with pneumonia and gradually grew worse and passed away on the Morning of January 6, 1921. She leaves to mourn her untimely death, her father and mother, Mrs. Verna Dotson, of Denver, Colo., Miss Blanche Hollis of Salina, Charlie, Elmer and Frank Hollis of Victor, Kans., and her twin brother, Lee, who is at present with his sister, Mrs. Dotson, in Denver, besides a host of friends who knew and loved her. The bereaved family has the heartfelt sympathy of all who knew her.
