Leona "Lee" Barr (nee DuBois), 72, of Holiday City Berkeley section of Berkeley Twp., died on Friday, Aug. 7, 2009, at Kensington Manor, Toms River, NJ. Born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island she lived in Carteret, NJ before moving to Holiday City Berkeley in 1999. She was a waitress at the Bus Stop Luncheonette in Carteret for many years. She was a communicant of St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Berkeley Twp., NJ and a past member of Sacred Heart of Jesus RC Church and their Altar Rosary society, Carteret, NJ. Lee was a past member of the Columbiettes Council 1280, and past president of the Lady's of Court Carry the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree, Carteret, NJ.
Surviving is her husband of 55 years, Richard J.; two daughters and their husbands, Patricia Anne Seladi and Donald of East Windsor, NJ and Sharon Bobowski and Robert of Forked River, NJ; her most precious gift on Earth, her grandson, Bobby Jr.; four nieces, Charlene, Nicole, Linda and Kelley; three nephews, Andy, Scott and Mario.
Family will receive friends on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at The Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Tuesday 10:30am at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Berkeley Twp., NJ. Burial will follow to St. Joseph Cemetery, Toms River, NJ.
