Mrs. Matson was born in Jasper County, daughter of Daniel and Mary Bower. She married Ralph Matson. He preceded her in death.
Surviving are her sons, Rupert and Lloyd, both of Newton; Glenn of Kissimmee, Fla.; Daniel of Crawfordsville, Ind.; daughters, Marjorie Foltz of McHenry; Ruth Carpenter of Hidalgo; Hazel Bozen of Evergreen Park; Mary Waddell and Kaye Woodard, both of Robinson; sisters Leota Allison and Gladys Bunton, both of Newton; Beryl Crawford of Niles, Mich.; 26 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren.
