Services for Amzi Arthur Hunt, retired farmer of the Bowie Chapel Community near McCool, were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Hopewell Baptist Church.
MR. Hunt, who was 80, died at the Montfort Jones Memorial Hospital Monday following an illness of about two years. Born in Choctaw Conty, he was the son of the late John Wesley Hunt and Mary Clark Knox Hunt.
Officiating ministers were the Rev. Ralph Carpenter and the Rev. Clyde Wroten. Burial was in the Hopewell Cemetery with Jordan Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Lillie Vanlandingham Hunt, McCool; two daughters, Miss Mary Hunt, and Mrs. Mildred Shurden, McCool five sons: Kenneth Hunt, Clayton Hunt and Bernard Hunt all of McCool, Claude Hunt and Ralph Hunt of Yazoo City; one brother, Bryan Hunt, McCool; 12 grandchildren.
