Buried with her husband and mother in the Old Baptist Cemetery north of Phillipsville, Ontario. She was a widow for 36 years, and blind for many years before her death lived, in comfortable circumstances. She was able to help out her family when they were in financial difficulty.
By the will of Elizabeth Day Stevens, Rufus Miller, who had returned to Bastard to take responsibility for his elderly blind mother, received her property and paid his brothers Frederick and Delorma each $200 and his sister Melissa $100. (Stuart)
