SOUTH OGDEN--Clarence Naef Kendrick, 59, of 5448 S. 875 E., died this morning at the McKay Hospital following an extended illness.
Mr. Kendrick was born March 13, 1911, in Logan, a son of Ernest H. and Elsie Barbara Naef Kendrick.
He was president and general manager of the Ogden Chrome Plating Inc.
On June 11, 1937, he was married to Dorothy Crockett in Salt Lake City. They later received endowments in the Logan LDS Temple.
He was formerly a co-owner of the Ogden Trailer Sales Co. and the Preston Electric and Furniture Co. of Preston, Idaho.
He was a member of the BPO Elks 719 and was past exalted ruler of the Preston, Idaho, Elks Lodge.
He was a member of the Greater Ogden Chamber of Commerce and Pine View Yacht Club.
A member of the 70th LDS Ward, he had been active as an elder and home teacher. He was a former member of the 43rd.
He had lived in Providence, Utah, and Preston prior to moving to Ogden.
Surviving are his widow, one son and one daughter, Ronald C. Kendrick, Ogden; Mrs. Dan (Brenda) Jensen, Roy; one grandchild.
Also surviving are four brothers and sisters, Bert Kendrick, Ogden; Dean Kendrick, Twin Falls, Idaho; Elton Kendrick, Buhl, Idaho; Ellis Kendrick, Sunset; Mrs. C.M. (Mary) Hirst, Carmichael, Calif.; Mrs. Ray (Alda) Thatcher, Logan; Mrs. Darrell (Grace) Stokes, Bountiful; Mrs. Vernon (Eileen) Taylor, Oklahoma City, Okla.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Myers Mortuary Chapel with Bishop Glen C. Peterson of the 70th Ward officiating.
Friends may call at the mortuary Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday prior to services.
Burial will be in the Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch.
