Miss Nellie O'Hara, respected Pittston resident, died yesterday afternoon shortly after 4 at Pittston Hospital where she has been receiving treatment for a hip injury suffered several weeks ago while in attendance at services at St. John the Evangelist Church.
The remains have been taken to the home of her sister, Mrs. Catherine Moran, 65 1/2 William Street, Pittston, from where the funeral will be held.
Born in the Railroad Street section of Pittston city, a daughter of the late Michael and Mary O'Hara, early residents of that community, Miss O'Hara had lived in Pittston through her life and her death is mourned by a wide circle of friends. She was a member of St. John's Church and the Blessed Virgin Sodality.
Surviving besides her sister, Mrs. Moran, she is survived by these nephew's and nieces, John, member of firm of Moran and Walsh; Albert and Emma Moran, at the Moran home; Joseph Moran, Kingston; Mrs. A. W. Allan, Oswego, N.Y., and Estelle, Binghamton.
