Robert Bond

BOND, Robert G. Age 77 of Huber Heights, died Friday, May 28, 2004 at SpringCreek Nursing Center under the loving care of family. Bob retired from Industrial Electric Motors in 1993, and prior to that spent many years in foundries here in Dayton. During his years, he enjoyed the times he spent with Jeanne (Stanley), his wife for 56 years and family vacations. He spent many hours watching golf and racing on TV. Bob had been ill the last three years. He was very proud to have been the first person in Dayton to receive a Ventricular Synchronizer (for his heart). He was preceded in death by his mother & father. Bob was the most kind, thoughtful, caring husband & father & friend anyone would want. Survivors include his wife Renna (Jeanne) his soulmate for 56 years; children Janis Paxton, Barbara Potts (Dave), Mark Bond (Rhonda), Bruce Bond (Melissa); grandchildren, Brian Paxton (Nicki), Jason Bond (Valerie), Adam Paxton (Annie), Audra Potts, Emily Bond, Eric Bond, Kristy Bond, Justin Potts, Sam Bond, and Shane Bond; great-grandchildren, Grace Paxton and Ethan Crace; half-brothers, Robert Kerschner, Donald Kerschner, and Thomas Kerschner, and many dear close relatives that he loved dearly. Bob was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church of Huber Heights. The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses & aides at Miami Valley Hospital & SpringCreek Nursing facility for their excellent care they gave to Bob during his illness. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 5464 Old Troy Pike, with Pastor David Stephens officiating. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Marker & Heller Funeral Home, Huber Heights Chapel, 5844 Old Troy Pike, on Tuesday from 5 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association and American Heart Association in Bob's memory. Bob will be greatly missed by family and friends.
