Jerry Neal Bagwell, 70, Louisiana, died Saturday, June 27, 2009, at Canon Hospice, Jefferson, La.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 15, at 11 a.m. at Wyatts Chapel United Methodist Church, 1932 Old Highway 79, Dover.

He was born in Stewart County, son of Troy and Gerline Vaughn Bagwell. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Howell Bagwell.
Mr. Bagwell was an associate professor of anatomy at Louisiana State University Medical Center, New Orleans, La., where he served as director of Medical Gross Anatomy and the Anatomical Board. He won a number of teaching awards and sponsored and sponsored the LSUMC Band, Christian Fellowship and choir. He served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. He was a member of the American Association of Anatomists, the Jefferson Committee for Better Schools, John Calvin Presbyterian Church, the Ulster Project and the Driftwood Civic Association where he coached football and soccer. He was aboard member of the Neutral Ground Coffee House, New Orleans, La.
