Visitation will be Thursday from 12 p.m. until time for services at 2 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Rev. Fred Hembree officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
He is survived by son, Lynn Norris of Franklin; daughter, Linda Parks of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Christopher Lynn Norris of Arlington, TX, Robert Newton Parks and Eric Leonard Parks, both of Murfreesboro; and four great-grandchildren, Ashton Blake Norris and Ryan Scot Norris, both of Arlington, TX, Robert Ingram Parks and Lauren Elizabeth Parks, both of Murfreesboro.
Mr. Norris enlisted in the U.S. Army (Calvary). He was a veteran of World War II fighting in North Africa, Italy and Czech Republic, in the Artillery Corps, and post war being assigned to Germany. Mr. Norris continued his professional Army career at Ft. Bragg and finally as the U.S. Army recruiter in Murfreesboro. Upon his retirement Mr. Norris joined the Army and Air Force Exchange Service and retired as an executive with AFEES. Upon Mr. Norris's retirement he began a third career as a Home Builder. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
