LEBANON ENTERPRISE OBITUARY – 02/23/1940
Mrs. Georgia Irvine Mouser, 75, widow of J.W. Mouser, passed away at 4:45 o’clock Tuesday morning [February 20, 1940] at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hugh Hall in Washington County, of pneumonia. She had been ill only a few days. Mrs. Mouser was visiting at her daughter’s home when stricken with the illness which caused her death. She was the daughter of the late Henderson & Cassie James Bagwell. After the death of her husband in September 1928, she continued to make her home here but had spent much of her time visiting among her children. Besides her daughter at whose home she died, Mrs. Mouser is survived by five other daughters, Mrs. R.C. Hays and Mrs. Charles Russell, both of this county; Mrs. Charlie Hatchett of Washington County, Mrs. Ebenezer Glazebrook of this city, and Mrs. James Yankey of Perryville; four sons, William & Gilbert Mouser of this county, and Thomas & Roy Mouser of Louisville; three sisters, Mrs. S. Walter Raley of this city, Mrs. Mollie Cheatham of Gravel Switch, and Mrs. Della Shewmaker of Boyle County, and two brothers, Tom & W.M. Bagwell of this county. Several sisters and brothers preceded her to the grave. Funeral services conducted by the Rev. T.J. Porter, were held at the Lebanon Baptist Church Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, and burial was in Ryder Cemetery. The pallbearers were Hugh Hall, R.C. Hays, Charlie Hatchett, Ebenezer Glazebrook, Charles Russell and James Yankey.
