He died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2001, at his home. He was a native of Starlight, a retired farmer, a former school bus driver and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, and Our Lady's Rosary Makers of Louisville. Survivors include his wife, Ethel Banet Book; three sons, Harold A. Book, New Albany, Irvin R. Book, Fredericksburg, and David A. Book, Starlight; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation at Generations Funeral Home, New Albany, will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, and after 9 a.m. Saturday.
