Funeral services for Hubert J. Book, 79, of New Albany, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, at Holy Family Catholic Church, New Albany, with burial in St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Cemetery in Floyds Knobs. He died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2001, at his home. He was a native of Starlight, a retired farmer, a former school bus driver and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, and Our Lady's Rosary Makers of Louisville. Survivors include his wife, Ethel Banet Book; three sons, Harold A. Book, New Albany, Irvin R. Book, Fredericksburg, and David A. Book, Starlight; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation at Generations Funeral Home, New Albany, will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, and after 9 a.m. Saturday. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Our Lady's Rosary Makers, 4611 Poplar Level Road, Louisville, Ky. 40213.

Hubert J. Book, 79, died yesterday at his home. He was a native of Starlight, a retired farmer, a former school bus driver and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and Our Lady's Rosary Makers of Louisville. Survivors include his wife, Ethel Banet Book; three sons, Irvin R. Book of Fredericksburg, David A. Book of Starlight and Harold A. Book; two daughters, Barbara J. Eurton of Floyds Knobs and Linda Dudley Book of Georgetown; a brother, Leonard Book; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy is 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church Cemetery in Floyds Knobs. Visitation is 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. tomorrow and after 9 a.m. Saturday at Generations Funeral Home, Ballard Lane. A rosary service is 7 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.
