Laurie Richeson Eubank Coleman, passed away March 2, 2007, at Lynchburg General Hospital.

Laurie was born in Amherst County to the late James and Mary Frances Richeson.

Laurie joined Piney Hill Baptist Church, Allwood of Amherst, at an early age and was a dedicated member until her health failed.

Laurie was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Eubank and from that union, one son was born, James Eubank who also preceded her in death and her second husband, Author L. Coleman who also preceded her in death; one sister, Hallie Carperter Roberson; four brothers, Theodore, Moses, Joseph and Andrew.

She leaves to morn her, one stepdaughter, Geraldine Watson, of Washington, D.C.; one daughter, Shelva Colmore Eubank, of Forest; two grandchildren, Stephanie Eubank, of Woodbrigde, and Alonzo (Velveeta) Eubank, of Durham, N.C.; one great-grandchild, Selena Eubank; two nieces; five nephews; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 6, 2007, at Court Street Baptist Church, with the Rev. Charles W. Lewis officiating. Interment followed in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
