Dorothy Earley Knight, 86, a homemaker, died Tuesday in a St. Matthews nursing home. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday in First Baptist Church. Burial, directed by Avinger Funeral Home, will be in Holly Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Knight was born in Orangeburg, a daughter of Thomas E. Earley and Gussie Bair Earley. She was a graduate of Orangeburg High School. She was an active member of First Baptist Church. She was the widow of Daniel F. Knight.

Surviving are two sons, Larry R. Knight of Columbia and Gary H. Knight of Holly Hill; a brother, Thomas F. Earley of Orangeburg; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
