POWELL, Tenn. —

George Andrews, age 54, of Powell, Tenn., passed away at his residence on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008.

George loved to work on mechanical things and tinker with stuff. He loved the outdoors, his grandchildren and great-grand babies, and spending time with his wife, Kathy. He was a Jack of all trades.

George was preceded in death by his parents, Dalmas and Ruby Andrews; and brothers, Dalmas Andrews Jr. and Roy Andrews.

Survivors include his wife, Katherine Andrews of Powell; son, Casper Donley and wife, Sasar, of Clinton; daughters, Tammy Newport of Clinton, Tonya Hatmaker of Clinton, and Jenny Moore of Powell; brothers, James Andrews and wife, Nadine, of Clinton, Clifford Andrews and wife, Ruby, of Clinton, Uyless Andrews of Clinton, Floyd Andrews of Harriman, Ernest Andrews and wife, Rena, of Clinton, and Kenny Andrews and wife, Nancy, of Clinton; sisters, Dorothy Carroll and husband, Butch, of Georgia, and Helen Qualls and husband, James, of Knoxville; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.

George's family will receive his friends on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2008, from 6 until 9 p.m. at Jones Mortuary in Clinton. The funeral will be Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, at noon in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with the Rev. Rusty Seiber and Bro. Robert Jones officiating. The interment will follow the funeral at Anderson Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of George to March of Dimes, 322 Nancy Lynn Lane, Suite 11, Knoxville, TN 37919, or Kerbela Shrine Center, P.O. Box 865, Knoxville, TN 37901.

Jones Mortuary in Clinton, Tenn., is in charge of all arrangements.
