Married Ann Mathews on Dec. 4, 1774 at St. George's Church, Gravesend.

At the end of this month died George Arnold, Esq. [son of Anthony Arnold, mayor in 1760,] a worthy inhabitant, having been mayor in the town during the mutiny of the Nore: also when the Duchess of Brunswick arrived, and when the king of France passed through the town to take possession of his kingdom; also upon several other extraordinary occasions and occurrences.

North side of obelisk:
In this Vault are deposited the Bodys of Geor, Geor, Willm, Elizh, Geor, Thos, Mathews & Robt Coales Arnold, Sons & daughter of Geor and Ann Arnold of this Parish who died in their Infancy.
East side of obelisk:
Also Sarah Ann Alfred John Henry Edward & Sarah Ann, infant children of Robert Coles and Sarah arnold.
West side:
James Arnold died June 17 1832 aged 41 Years.

Inscription west side of base of Monument:
Mrs Ann Mathews, Wife of Mr Thomas Mathews who died April the 29th 1804 Aged 72 Years. Also the above Mr Thomas Mathews who died 28th January 1819 Aged 93 Years.
North side:
In Memory of the above Mr Geor Arnold who departed this Life the 28th July 1813 Aged 62 Years. Also the above Mrs Ann Arnold who departed this Life the 6th of January 1832 Aged 79 Years.
East side:
in Memory of the above Robert Coles Arnold of Heath House, Barming, Kent who died 14th May 1866 Aged 69 Years.
