Glasgow Daily Times Issue of February 28 1955 - Funeral services for George Buford Simmons, real estate man and partner in the Simmons Drug Store here, who died Saturday in Bowling Green, were held yesterday at the Crow Funeral Home. Burial was in the Glasgow Cemetery.
Mr. Simmons, 59, was found dead in his room at the Mansard Hotel.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Vivian Simmons; son Bill Simmons; a daughter Mrs. Doris Wilson of Frankfort, Ind., and a grandchild.

Local Hotel Room
The body of G.B. Simmons, 53, druggist of Glasgow, was found in a room at the Mansard Hotel here about 6: 45 p.m. Friday, and Deputy Coroner Cliff B. Raymer contributed death to natural causes. Raymer said death apparently occurred some 12 hours before the body was discovered by a maid who was checking the room.
Hotel attendants said Simmons checked in the hotel about 4 p.m. Thursday and had not been noticed in the hotel since.
The body was removed to the Cliff B. Raymer Funeral Home and later moved to the Crow Funeral Home in Glasgow, where services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. today. Burial will be in the Glasgow Cemetery.
Simmons was a dealer in real estate and a partner in Simmons Drug Store at Glasgow, with his son, W.H. Simmons.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Vivian Simmons, and one daughter, Mrs. Doris Carolyn Wilson, Frankfort, Ind.
