Peter was baptized a catholic when he was an infant. His parents attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in Crittenden Township and presume that he was baptized in that church. Peter was the third child born in the family of ten children, and son of John Mathias Wilhelm Sr and Elizabeth Mary Pfeffer.

OCCUPATION: He was a farmer. He lived two and a half miles south of Tolono. He owned land in Section 11 and 12 of Pesotum Township. His home was near the little creek that passed by the area. You have to cross this creek just south of his home. He was born and lived in that area all his life. It had been the home of his parents where he lived.

MARRIAGE: Have copy of picture--(wedding picture) Peter married Elizabeth Lawkitska, daughter of John Lawkitska and his wife Catherine on February 4, 1908 in St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Chicago, Illinois.

They had no children.

OBITUARY: Peter's--Champaign Newspaper. Peter died on a Saturday of a heart attack as a result of shoveling snow. He died at 2:45 in the afternoon. He was buried then the following Tuesday in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery in Tolono, Illinois.
