DALMATIA -- Daniel Albert Martz, 85, of P.O. Box 102, died Monday at home.
He was retired as construction worker for the former Kocher Quarry and a member of St. Luke's United Church of Christ, Malta, Dalmatia and Herndon fire companies and Sunbury Moose Lodge.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret A. Klinger Schwalm-Martz; two sons, William of Rauschtown and Fredrick of Bellefonte; a daughter, Evelyn Brockman of Fairbanks, Alaska; a stepson, Leroy Schwalm of Klingerstown; two stepdaughters, Elsie Lentz of Herndon and Norma Schwalm of Dalmatia; a brother, Nelson Martz of Beech Creek; three sisters, Mildred Strait of Millersburg, Martina Bechtel of Williamsport and Mary Koppenhaver of Dalmatia RD 1; seven grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; six great-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; and five step-great-great-grandchilden.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Reed Funeral Home, Pillow. Burial will be in St. Luke's Cemetery, Malta.
Viewing will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
