Cheryl A. Anacker, 57, of Eau Claire died Sunday, July 12, 2009, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.
She was born in Madison on March 30, 1952, the daughter of Glenn and Kathryn (Slattery) Briggs. Cheryl married William Anacker on Sept. 30, 1978, in Madison. Cheryl enjoyed traveling with her family. She was an avid reader and loved her Brittanies. Cheryl worked at Mega-West as a customer service representative.
Survivors include her husband, William, of Eau Claire; her son, Bill, of Madison; her mother, Kathryn Briggs, of Oregon; three brothers, Terry Briggs of Madison, Jeffrey Briggs of Montgomery Village, Md., and Peter Briggs of Madison; and two sisters, Marcia (Garry) Gordinier of Geneva, Minn., and Patty (Lonny) Servin of Oregon. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 17, 2009, at Stokes, Prock and Mundt Funeral Chapel, U.S. 12 East, Altoona, with the Rev. John Bryant of Sacred Heart Hospital officiating. Casual attire is preferred. A short social time will follow the service. Interment will be private at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Sacred Heart Hospital Oncology Wing, or American Brittany Rescue Organization.
