Joyce Fay (Osborne) Fiordimondo, 75, of Vineland passed away Monday morning, Aug. 3, 2009, at the Kindred Hospital in Philadelphia after an extended illness.

Born in North Wildwood, she grew up in Sea Isle City and lived in Fairton before moving to Vineland 48 years ago. Mrs. Fiordimondo worked for Owens-Illinois and Armstrong Cork Co., and then worked as a nurse's aide for the Vineland State School for many years. At the age of 50, she became a licensed practical nurse and worked for Bishop McCarthy Residence of Vineland and the Nursing Center of Vineland. Mrs. Fiordimondo attended the First Assembly of God Church in Millville and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She read the Bible numerous times and received many awards, certificates and diplomas. She was certified with the World Wide Bible Study, and was a member of the Assemblies of God National Recognition for Bible Reading. For completing those courses, she received a grade of 98.8. She enjoyed crocheting, drawing, doing puzzles, and was an excellent organist. She also made Victorian clothes for her porcelain dolls.

She is survived by her son, Rosario Fiordimondo III and his wife Teresa of Vineland; her daughter, Sharon Servais and her husband Joseph of Vineland; her brother, Eugene Osborne of Delaware; her brother in law, Joseph Pizzo of Centerton; two sisters in law, Roselie Osborne of Florida, and Rose LoSchiavo and her husband Celestino of Maryland; five grandchildren, Rosario IV, Samson, Marco, Dominique and Corissa; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Rosario Fiordimondo Jr., on June 21; and her siblings, George Osborne Jr., Bernice Pizzo, and Melvin Osborne, Sandra Steahle and her husband Henry.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad St., Millville. Family and friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. A service by the Eastern Star will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.

Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Millville.
