Miriam was the first child born to Jeremiah and Army Noon after they immigrated to the U.S. in 1844. She was the only girl born to them and had 6 brothers one of whom was her twin William. James.Jeremiah and Joseph were born in England and Miriam, William, Robert and George were born in Wisconsin...Miriam was known to have traveled around the state of Illinois, I believe in the Shelbyville area, as a young woman giving music lessons on an old melodian that she carried in her wagon. She was believed to have been the church organist in Livingston at the Methodist Church on the corner of D and Lewis.
