Alma Whitlock Glover, 92, of Staunton, widow of William Clarence Glover, died Monday January 15, 2007 at Augusta Medical Center, Fishersville.
She was born August 20, 1914, in Staunton, a daughter of the late Nicholas Trout and Eva Leitch Whitlock.
Mrs. Glover was employed as a Loan Clerk by American Finance Company, Waynesboro, for 20 years prior to her retirement in 1979. Possessing a natural love for children, she found great fulfillment in caring for children after her retirement, many becoming like extended family. She was the oldest living member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Staunton, and was a member of AARP.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, John William Clarence Glover; sisters, Mildred Simonds, Gladys Paxton and Evelyn Whitlock and her brothers, Boyd Whitlock and Harold Whitlock.
