ELMER AXMEAR DIES AT NURSING HOME

ELMER CLAY AXMEAR, 93, of Thornburg, died Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 19, 1974, at the English Valleys Nursing Care Center, North English.

Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 22, at 1:30 p.m., at the Fremont Funeral Chapel in What Cheer, with the Rev. John Ballensky officiating.

Interment was in Garrett cemetery.

Elmer was born Aug. 5, 1881, near Keswick, the son of William and Mary Earnestena Schuble Axmear.

He was married Sept. 11, 1926 to Myrtle Kramer in Ottumwa. She preceded him in death Nov. 16, 1963. He later married Lucille West, in Thornburg. She later passed away January 11, 1972.

Elmer was a retired farmer and lived in the Keswick and Thornburg communities all of his life.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, one son, two sisters and two brothers.
