He was appointed corporal,k May 29, 1865, and mustered out with his company June 12, 1865, at Raleigh, North Carolina at the end of his term of service at the end of the war. His name is on Panel #14 in the Cuyahoga County Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument, Public Square, Cleveland, Ohio. He was a member of the Harrison Douglass Post #458, Grand Army of the Republic. His name is on the Civil War soldier statue at Kipton, Ohio.
