Rites Were Sunday For Frances Jantz, Freshman at Alden
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Greenfield Mennonite church for Frances Louise Jantz who died at 7:10 p.m. Friday after being seriously ill since July 4. Burial was in the Greenfield cemetery. Rev. Curt D. Boese, pastor, was in charge of the service.
Frances Louise Jantz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Jantz, was born four miles east of Alden Feb. 1, 1935. She died July 28, 1950, at the age of 15 years, 5 months and 27 days. She attended the Alden school and was a freshman in Alden highschool. At the age of 13 she was baptized and received into the Greenfield Mennonite church where she was a member at the time of her death.
In 1947 and 1948 Frances underwent three major operations for a brain tumor and recovered temporarily but became ill in June and seriously ill July 4.
She is survived by her parents; one sister, Mrs. Clyde Ray, Carnegie; one brother, Jimmy, of the home, and a number of other relatives.
Attending the funeral from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Unruh, Dorothy and Kathy, and Mr. and Mrs. Gene Unruh, all of Meno; Mr. and Mrs. Dan Jantz and Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Jantz, all of Oklahoma City; Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Arndt and Dwayne and Mrs. M. Lundsborg, all of Apache; Mr. and Mrs. Ben Jantz, Leona, Elizabeth and Irvin of Chickasha; Mr. and Mrs. Mary Anderson, Sharon Kay and Pat of Fletcher; Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Schmidt and family of El Reno, and Mr. and Mrs. Leon Jantz and sons, Mr. and Mrs. Harland Jantz and Mildred Nightingale, all of Enid.
